Our Mission
The mission of Millennial
Christian School is to establish a Christ-centered, biblically founded
educational program that uses the resources and talents available in the
community within a small school setting. The focus is to target the individual
needs of each student, amidst a population of diverse learners. MCS will
accomplish this by meeting the following objectives:
1. Providing classrooms
that offer inclusive settings and educators that set the tone for diversity
2. Providing educators
that are trained in identifying the various intelligences and can
implement appropriate ways in which to teach and evaluate learners
3. Providing Educational
Technology that facilitates the learning process and enhances the teaching
environment

Multiple Intelligences
Why is the MI Approach Good for Students?
The MI approach . . .
-
is an
instructional framework for reaching all students.
-
builds on
the strengths of every child.
-
motivates
underachieving students.
-
makes
learning powerful and memorable, which in turn bolsters student
achievement.
-
is
flexible enough to respond to individuals in order to best fit the needs of
the student (Campbell & Campbell, 1999, p.p. 93-94).
Multiple
intelligences is also discussed at length by
Thomas Armstrong in his book
linked here.
